The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Experiencing the human on human brutality, where life had changed little during the cruel authority of Stalin's terror, compassion, respect and love for people was instilled in her from childhood and is evident in her work .
